Why we started keeping such careful records
A small practice built around one habit — check, don't assume.

Our story
Jorvantis began with a small group of reporters in Embu who kept noticing the same problem: strong instincts, weak paper trails. A claim would feel right, but nobody could point to exactly where it came from or exactly what had changed between two versions of a document.
We started running short, practical sessions to fix that gap — not theory, but a repeatable way to compare, check and record. What started as informal help between colleagues grew into a structured practice that now works with reporters, researchers and anyone whose conclusions need to survive scrutiny.
We stay close to lawful, public channels on purpose. Nothing we teach depends on access nobody else has — only on doing the ordinary work more carefully than most people bother to.
What we hold to
01
Method over instinct
A hunch is a starting point, never a conclusion. We check systematically before we say anything is true.
02
Lawful by default
Every technique we teach relies on public records and proper channels — nothing that needs explaining away later.
03
Proportionate language
We say only as much as the evidence supports, and we're comfortable saying "not established yet."
